Welcome to the website of the National Police of Colombia in compliance with its institutional objectives and its commitment to provide information, services, reliable and quality procedures, informs users of: www.policia.gov.co, about its privacy policy.
The Institution thus adheres to the self-regulatory standards that seek to protect the basic right of individuals and companies to protect the confidentiality of their data, and that fully comply with the recommendations made by organizations specialized in these matters.

About information security
The National Police of Colombia has adopted the legally required security levels of protection of personal data, and has installed all the technical means and measures at its disposal to prevent the loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorized access and theft of personal data provided by Users. Nevertheless, the visitor must be aware that Internet security measures are not impregnable. In addition, there is a possibility that the information provided may be intercepted during transmission.
Use of passwords and user registration
The Contents of the Web products of the Colombian National Police are free of charge for Users and do not require prior subscription or registration.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, access to certain contents can only be made through ‘User Registration’ in the form expressly indicated. By virtue of the foregoing, some of the contents of the Institution’s Web site will be provided to Users registered in the form provided for these purposes, especially those referring to the processing of: ‘complaints, claims or suggestions’.
How do we use the personal information you provide to us?
The Police does not disclose, sell or rent information about our users to anyone. In general terms, the Institution uses the personal information provided by our users to respond to requests.

All rights of the material, contents and photographs published in the Colombian National Police Web site are property of this Institution, or are authorized by their authors or referenced the sources from which they were extracted.
1. Commercial use or publication of all or part of the material, content, graphics, design, design, videos, logos and other materials related to the website, without proper authorization, is prohibited.
2. Most of the images that appear on our website are property of the National Police of Colombia. Finally, a preliminary sample of the material must be submitted before receiving approval.
5. Links to our website. You may link to our Web site provided that:
1. Do not obscure or remove, by unauthorized linking to the site or otherwise, the copyright notice or other notices appearing on the website.
2. The user’s website does not engage in illegal activities.
3. You will immediately stop linking to our site upon request.
